Morning Routine, the Change I Need

With the thyroid issue that I have, I always had a slow start of the day. It can be really frustrating to want to wake up but your body doesn’t have the sufficient energy to do it and makes you end up snoozing your alarm till noon. Then, because your half day is already gone you are mad at yourself for any reason you come up with and decide that you need some more discipline in your own life.

When I first googled about The Miracle Morning, the book that I really-really wanted to put my hands on, I also discovered a nicely detailed post about the morning routine of one of my favorite bloggers. Following Kara’s blog makes me feel that waking up early in the morning and following a routine its not just totally possible, but its also fun and you end up to accomplish so many tasks till the end of your day. Birds of a feather flock together, I really want to be productive like her so now I have an even bigger motivation to start my own beautiful and positive energy filled mornings.

The way Steve Jobs got into this kind of motivational tactic was little different, but in the end he also wanted a change.

For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?”

And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something- Steve Jobs

Have you heard the saying: The way you start your mornings, will determine the life you live?  Good! Then, I’m asking you: Good morning, Sunshine, today you can choose the way your life will be, so how will you start your day?

What’s your first thing you do after you wake up?

I already made a list of 5 Bad Habits I Want to Break , so I’ll add to that a list of things I want to do right after I wake up and if I can stick to that list, it seams that it takes JUST 21 days to create a new habit.

So, here it is my morning routine that I wish to follow

  1. Wake up before 8am and read my Daily Positive Affirmations
  2. 8:00~8:30  Eat my fruits while I check mails and social media accounts
  3. 8:30~9:00  Morning beauty routine
  4. 9:00~11:00 Work on my “New Project”
  5. 11:00~11:45 Walk the pooch and spend time in nature when the weather allows
  6. 12:00~ Eat Lunch and finish daily appointments (errands etc.)
